A Winding Road - A Ramble With Richard Thompson is a kaleidoscopic montage of images and audio experiences filmed while on tour with The Richard Thompson Electric Trio. Concert footage winds in and out of ambient audio and textural images to offer a unique collage of road experience. The film follows loosely the form of a day in performance; beginning with load in and sound check then moving through backstage, performance, encore and load out while repeatedly offering the experience throughout the film, thus attempting to express the redundancy of this experience.
